The Young Leaders Initiative has been engaging young people as leaders for the transformation of the church and world since 2006. This last fiscal year we continued to do that work through our ongoing Motown Mission program for youth ages 12-18 and our college program called Motor City Wesley at Wayne State University and beyond. We celebrate all the United Methodist and other young people we've been able to meet, encourage and be inspired by!
Our programs, launched with significant funding from the United Methodist Union of Greater Detroit, continue to serve as an incubator for other ministries that help young people explore their faith in Christ through hands on discipleship in the City of Detroit. Now we are coming to the completion of phase one of work on the Foundry House, a missional hostel which will allow both Motown Mission and our revived Emergedetroit missional community network to flourish. Thanks for all your support and prayers throughout the years. Now we invite you to become part of our "100 Clubs" - those 100 individuals and churches who can pledge $100 a year to encourage youth and young adults in radical discipleship and missional living. See more at motorcitywesley.org and motownmission.org Thanks and blessings, The YLI Board of Directors Comments are closed.
